"HAs if you didn't already know, late spring is one of two annual time periods, (the other being late fall). The usual big television networks are rolling out their prime - time mini-series competitors. A couple include "The 70's", "Jason and the Argonauts", and "Arabian Nights". So far two of the above mentioned have been showed, yet this article will concentrate on only one of them - "Arabian Nights".
Combining a number of tales from the "1001 Arabian Nights", ABC's version does the ancient stories the honor. Some of the includes myths are "Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves" and other alike. Previous films have been produced based on specific stories, but this appears to be the first of its kind mini-series, which combines a vast amount telling.
One of the wisest details of the production is the special effect. Although not obviously many on screen, the TV-movie has a number of computer-generated effects, which are well suited and hidden. While seeming absolutely realistic, effects like the magnificent palaces and even those obvious, such as mythological creatures, fit well into the stories and don't ruin it with too much fakeness.
In addition to the everyday positive aspects of the plot, "Arabian Nights" is an intriguing product that pulls you into a world long gone; yet never forgotten. The timeless stories always find an allusion in real life, no matter what the time period is and people can always associate with the general conflicts as well. Plus, the audience can get an unusual escape from reality, not to a world of the futures where machines rule the world, but instead, to a place in time long ago, when things were simple and myth explained all. Stories covered the land and helped those in need during a tough moment. The ancient "psychologists" of story telling healed minds - we need more of that in our world now!
