THE
LADIES MAN
Synopsis
A
popular "Saturday Night Live" skit comes to the big screen
as an obnoxious, un-PC talk show host (Tim Meadows) is
fired for his inappropriate behavior and, at the same
time, receives a letter from an old lover who now wants
him back.
Review
Well,
Saturday Night Live keeps turning five minute comedy bits
into comedy blockbusters that keep the audience coming
and commenting. Joining the list of previous productions
of such films as "Night at the Roxbury", "Superstar",
and "Wayne's World", the "Ladies Man"
brings senseless and pointless humor to the big screen.
Surrounding
the pimp-like life of a player man, the film has Tim Meadows
searching for a rich woman that wants him, while Will
Farrel searches for the man that stole his wife!
Lacking
the depth necessary for a big screen film, "The Ladies
Man" is too two-dimensional to make a great film.
All 84 minutes of it are filled with "intended"
to be funny scenes, including perhaps at most a handful
of actual laughable humor. All in all, it will probably
be a flop.
