COYOTE
UGLY
Synopsis
Based
on a GQ article about a real-life bawdy Western-theme
bar in lower Manhattan, Coyote Ugly tells the story of
Violet (newcomer Perabo), a woman who moves across the
river from New Jersey with songwriting aspirations, only
to find herself pouring brews and dancing on tabletop.
Review
"A
Show" is a better way to describe "Coyote Ugly
than a movie. Since most of the scenes take place in a
Western bar, with the hot girls seen in the poster above
dancing away wearing skin-tight outfits and pouring pitchers
of water all over themselves, you see a performance of
entertaining, not acting techniques.
While a weak plot with a predictable ending, "Coyote
Ugly" sports an awesome soundtrack, with the theme
sound performed by LeAnn Rimes. The song is called "Can't
Fight the Moonlight" and is played during a number
of scenes of the film. It livens up the feature, giving
it an exciting atmosphere.
