S.W.A.T.
Synopsis
Inspired by the 1970s TV
police series, the leader (Samuel L. Jackson) of LA's
SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) team puts together
a new squad of recruits to protect a dangerous drug lord
who's offered $100 million to anyone who can help him
break out of jail.
Review
One
word that summarizes the action packed S.W.A.T. film is
"predictable".
Every new scene that appeared on the screen was easily
traced without any hints, following typical action film
scenarios. However, this situation did not overshadow
the action of the film. Highlighting the scenes was the
seven minute nonstop attack scene by a gang of kidnappers.
Probably my most favorite scene of the film, the action
reminded the audience of urban warfare at its best.
All in all the film is not as good as hyped up by the
advertisement, yet does bring the needed punch to the
screen to keep the audience in their seats.
