THE
RAT RACE
Synopsis
In
this road comedy, a bored, yet money-hungry billionaire
and proud owner of a large Las Vegas casino sets up a
gambling scheme in which bettors wage not on mechanical
probability, but rather on which of six human candidates
of a race can find the $2 million that is hidden somewhere
in a locker. With plot twisrs and humorous gags, this
film brings even the stiffest critic down to his knees
with laughter.
Review
What
do you get when you put together some of the best actors
of comedy, action, and drama that Hollywood has to offer
- a rat race! This light hearted comedy has all of the
characteristics of becoming a timeless classic, along
with many previous film of its type.
The
film depicts the human nature when presented with an out-of-this-world
opportunity. While displaying how many of the characters
are not use to extreme life situations, the film shows
how quickly people adapt to their new environments.
As
the film rolls on, so do the laughs. Whether it's puns
or slapstick, the humor mobile does not stop in this racing
picture. While following the travel storylines of each
set of characters, everyone of them provides an original
laughable situation based on the actor's style of comedy.
Although
noticing unsuccessful attempts at laughs in certain areas
of the movie, the writers / directors achieve their goal
of an entertaining and relaxing comic experience.
